Christina Farmer
My Education and Professional Background
My name is Christina Farmer, and I am proud to be co-owner of All About Melanated Excellence Child Enrichment Center. I began my journey in childcare at the age of 17 in March of 1999. I began my career path in Criminal Justice while working at a childcare center. After participating in the Criminal Justice courses for one semester, I can honestly say the field of Early Childhood Education chose me. Once I switched my major to Early Childhood Education, I completed all of my certifications at Wake Technical Community College and during this time I became a certified administrator. After deciding to pursue a bachelor degree, I moved forward with completing my degree at North Carolina Central University. I graduated Magna Cum with a Bachelor's degree in Child Development and Early Relations. I am currently working toward a Masters Certification in Infant Toddler Leadership at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro which is set for completion in fall of 2023.

Throughout obtaining my degree, I worked in childcare facilities throughout Southeast Raleigh. While working at the facilities, I was able to gain experience as a floater, assistance teacher and a lead teacher. I decided I wanted to offer activities that other facilities were not offering, therefore I opened a family childcare home in 2005. After owning and operating a family childcare home for 10 years I decided to open a childcare facility.

My Personal Background
My husband and I love traveling, creating memories, listening to music enjoying the arts and fishing. One of our favorite places to travel is the beach. When I am not with my family, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, retail therapy and spending time in nature. We believe in creating peace and remaining peaceful as much as possible.

Mary Heyward
My Education and Professional Background
I have always had the passion of working with children. I have found in my 20 plus years of experience that approaching each child as an individual and catering to their specific needs ensures their personal, emotional, social growth. I get excited when I see former students who I helped nurture and watch grow become upstanding members of society. When I care for children I strive to meet all their needs with no hesitation. I have cared for and will continue to care for children across all age groups. I hope my time and efforts create a lasting impact through caring and fun.
